Years of observation while teaching at the university level – as well as many studies and a wealth of anecdotes from other profs – has helped me identity a gap between the expecations students have about university education and the reality of how universities work and what professors do. In order to address this gap I’ve developed a workshop that I offer to high schools for graduating students.
